Meet MARCO

Encinitas has been part of my story for as long as I can remember.

I grew up in Village Park, attended Flora Vista, Diegueño and San Dieguito, and spent much of my childhood learning the family business alongside my dad. Those experiences gave me an early appreciation for hard work, community, and the people who make Encinitas such a special place.

Today, my wife, a Registered Nurse, and I are raising our two young children in Olivenhain, just a few miles from where I grew up. My parents, my sister, and her family are still here too. Having so much of my family close by and watching my own kids grow up in the community that shaped me gives me an even deeper appreciation for the place we call home.

For me, Encinitas has never simply been where I live. It’s where I learned to work hard, where I built my life, and ultimately, where I found my calling to serve.

Why I Serve

That’s why I’m running as a true independent candidate and will not accept financial contributions or endorsements from any political party. I believe local government should be about listening to our neighbors, focusing on the issues right here at home, and making decisions based on what’s best for Encinitas — not a party agenda.

Public service has taken me from ten years as a reserve firefighter, to the Olivenhain Municipal Water District Board, and now to representing District 4 on the Encinitas City Council.

Through every role, my approach has remained the same: show up, listen, do the work, and be accountable to the people I serve.

That’s the kind of Councilmember I have worked to be, and the kind of Councilmember I’m asking District 4 voters for the opportunity to continue being.

The Good Party

Money shouldn't control politics. People should.

The American two-party system has been overrun by big money. Over $20 billion was spent on campaign contributions in 2024. 70% of these funds came from special interests, corporations, and dark money.

Our solution:

Empower Independents to run, win, and serve without dark money, and outside the two-party system. By making it possible to run a viable campaign without these corrupting influences, Americans will see truly representative democracy.
Until then, the results of this are inevitable.

Exciting Nominations coming soon

I value my endorsements, memberships and recognitions and look forward to sharing with you why they mean so much to me.
